(23 June 2026) Kajetan Kajetanowicz, a three-time European Champion and three-time winner of Rally Poland, will compete in the 82nd edition of the national classic event – the fourth round of the FIA European Championship and the KIQ Polish Rally Championship. The ORLEN Rally Team driver announced the news one month before the rally start. 82nd Rally Poland will be held in Silesia, Kajetanowicz’s home region.

– When announcing my plans for this season, I said there would be more opportunities to meet Polish fans. I’m very happy that this will happen in such special circumstances—during Rally Poland, in which we will compete this year. It is the most important motorsport event in our country, with a beautiful and rich history. Together with my team, I have written a few modest chapters of that history, with my three victories being the memories I cherish most. This will be my twelfth start in the event with many novelties this year. We are moving from Mikołajki to Katowice, and the surface changes from gravel to asphalt. I am convinced that the demanding stages in the Silesian Voivodeship will provide an incredible arena for competition, one that will be watched by crowds of fans. For me, it is also a sentimental journey. I put my first steps in rallying and achieved my first successes on some of these roads. The entire ORLEN Rally Team faces an intense period of preparation from now, but I already can’t wait for the start. I invite all fans to the 82nd Rally Poland, count on their enthusiastic support, and hope to provide them with plenty of excitement,” – said Kajetan Kajetanowicz, three-time Rally Poland winner.

– “We are very pleased that Kajetan Kajetanowicz will join the field of the 82nd Rally Poland. This is excellent news both for the organizers and for the fans, who will be able to watch him competing directly against the leading drivers of the FIA European Rally Championship and the top competitors of the national championship. His start in the rally is especially significant to us because Rally Poland is taking place in his home region. For years, Kajetan has been a local hero and an ambassador for motorsport. His successes have contributed greatly to the popularity of rallying in the Silesian Voivodeship. We believe that in front of his home fans, he will fight for the highest positions and provide spectators with plenty of sporting excitement,” – added Grzegorz Wróbel, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 82nd Rally Poland.

Kajetanowicz made his Rally Poland debut in the 2005 season and has since competed ten times on the gravel stages of Warmia and Mazury. In addition, he covered the rally route as the official “zero car” in 2023. This year’s 82nd Rally Poland will be Kajto’s first appearance in the event on asphalt.

He had the opportunity to become familiar with some of the stages in the Silesian Voivodeship in 2024, when, driving the “zero car,” he assisted the organizers of Rally Silesia, the final round of the FIA European Rally Championship. During last year’s Rally Silesia, he also demonstrated to fans his championship-winning skills in the show runs on the super special stages in central Katowice and on the grounds of Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium.
