(16 April 2026) One hundred days remain until the start of the 82nd Rally Poland. In its more than one-hundred-year history, dating back to 1921, Polish national classic has visited nearly every region of the country. Special stages have also been run in Silesia many times in the past. This year, Rally Poland returns to areas known from previous editions of the country’s biggest motorsport event. The hosts of the fourth round of the European (ERC) and Polish (KIQ RSMP) championships will be Katowice and the Silesian Voivodeship, and the wait for the start of the competition will pass with the newly unveiled logo of the 82nd Rally Poland.

This year’s battle for championship titles on the Old Continent promises to be exceptionally exciting. This is confirmed by the entry list for the 43rd Andalusia Rally – Sierra Morena – Córdoba World Heritage Site, the opening round of the ERC, the world’s oldest rally series, now being held for the 74th time. Most of the 53 crews set to start in Spain in the coming days (17–19 April) will also appear in subsequent rallies and at the midpoint of the season in Katowice. Among them are as many as eight Polish duos, including the defending European champions – Miko Marczyk and Szymon Gospodarczyk (Škoda Fabia RS).

The rally on the Iberian Peninsula will also be the arena for the first points of the season for the Polish champions: Jakub Matulka and Damian Syty, as well as Adrian Rzeźnik co-driven by Kamil Kozdroń, and Piotr Krotoszyński, whose co-driver is Marcin Szeja (all Škoda Fabia RS). In addition, the strong Polish lineup includes Błażej Gazda co-driven by Michał Jurgała, and Sebastian Butyński co-driven by Łukasz Jastrzębski (all Renault Clio Rally3), who – like Igor Widłak and Daniel Dymurski (Ford Fiesta Rally3) – will compete for victory in the increasingly popular ERC3 category.

The Polish “Magnificent Seven” will face very demanding rivals. Teemu Suninen (Škoda Fabia RS), Andrea Mabellini (Lancia Ypsilon HF), Simone Tempestini (Škoda Fabia RS), the current British champion and 2023 Junior World Champion William Creighton (Citroën C3), Philip Allen (Toyota GR Yaris), Calle Carlberg (Citroën C3), Fabrizio Zaldivar, Isak Reiersen (both Škoda Fabia RS), Tuukka Kauppinen (Lancia Ypsilon HF), and two-time Irish Tarmac Rally Champion Callum Devine (Škoda Fabia RS) are just some of the many contenders for rally victories as well as overall success in the European Championship.

Five of the seven rounds in this year’s ERC calendar are asphalt rallies. Among them is the 82nd Rally Poland, whose 15 special stages will be the battleground for victory and glory at the finish line at the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium.
