(10 February 2026) Seven rallies in seven countries across the Old Continent make up the final version of the calendar for the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC). The Rally Hungary, which was due to open this year’s edition of the oldest championship rally series, has been cancelled. The ERC season will begin in the third weekend of April in Spain and conclude at the end of October in Portugal. The “Super Seven” also includes the 82nd Rally Poland, which will be held on 24–26 July in Silesia as the fourth round of the European Championship.
The long-awaited ERC season will start with the 43rd Rally Andalucía – Sierra Morena – Córdoba, scheduled for 17–19 April. Run exclusively on asphalt special stages, the spectacular southern Spanish event — which made its ERC debut in 2025 — will replace Rally Hungary as the opening round of the seven-event calendar.
This decision follows information provided by MNASZ, the Hungarian National Automobile Federation, stating that Rally Hungary, which has been part of the ERC calendar since 2019, will not take place in 2026 due to internal organisational issues.
The Rally Five Cities North of Portugal will remain the season finale, although its date has been moved to 23–25 October (originally planned for 9–11 October).
Rally Poland, which will count as an ERC round for the 55th time — an unmatched record — is “Polish” not only in name. Its history dates back to 1921, and the 81 editions held so far have visited numerous regions and cities across the country. After twenty years in the Masurian Lake District, the Polish classic will move to Silesia this year.
Katowice has already hosted the colourful rally convoy many times as a stage city, but for the first time the rally HQ will be located in the very heart of the region — at the superauto.pl Silesian Stadium. Special stages in southern Silesia have frequently featured in Rally Poland in the past, with the most famous including Kubalonka and Salmopolska passes, as well as Równica and Straconka.
This year’s edition of Rally Poland draws on the experience of the Rally Silesia, which was a regular round of the Polish national championship for nine consecutive seasons (2017–2025) and served as the final round of the ERC in 2024.
The rally’s Supplementary Regulations and detailed schedule, in accordance with FIA international regulations, will be published on 23 May. However, several dates and locations related to the event are already known.
The Automobilists’ Foundation, organiser of the 82nd Rally Poland, plans to hold the ceremonial start on Friday, 24 July, in the centre of Katowice, along with the route of a spectacular prologue that attracts tens of thousands of spectators. The remaining special stages will be run in southern Silesia on Saturday and Sunday (25–26 July). Rally offices and the service park will be located at the superauto.pl Silesian Stadium and its surrounding grounds. On Sunday afternoon, the rally finish will also take place next to the iconic “Witches’ Cauldron” stadium.
The revised calendar for the 2026 FIA European Rally Championship, which has been approved by an FIA World Motor Sport Council e-vote, is as follows:
- 43rd Andalusia Rally – Sierra Morena – Córdoba 17 – 19 April (asphalt)
- BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia 22 -24 May (gravel)
- Rally di Roma Capitale 3 – 5 July (asphalt)
- 82nd Rally Poland 24 – 26 July (asphalt)
- Barum Czech Rally Zlín 14 – 16 August (asphalt)
- JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion 4 – 6 September (asphalt)
- Rally Five Cities North of Portugal 23 – 25 October (gravel)
Competitors contesting the ERC1, ERC3, ERC4, Master ERC, Teams’ and Tyre Supplier championships will now count their best six scores out of seven. Junior ERC competitors will continue to count their best five scores out of six.
Registrations for the 2026 FIA European Rally Championship – the 73rd since its formation back in 1953 and the fifth promoted by WRC Promoter – are due to open soon via the FIA’s online registration portal available at https://registrations.fia.com/rally
Meanwhile, the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy calendar has been adjusted for 2026 with Barum Czech Rally Zlín taking Rally Hungary’s place on the five-event schedule, which also includes 43rd Andalusia Rally – Sierra Morena – Córdoba World Heritage Site, BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia, Rally di Roma Capitale and 82nd Rally Poland.
