(16/10/2025) Rally Poland, the largest and most prestigious motorsport event in Poland, is moving to a new location. The 82nd edition of this national classic will take place from July 24 to 26 in Silesia as the fifth round of the 2026 FIA European Rally Championship.
First held over a century ago, Rally Poland is the second oldest rally in the world, after the legendary Monte Carlo. In 2026, it will host a round of the ERC for the 55th time — a record unmatched by any other event in the world’s oldest rally championship series, which has been inaugurated in 1953.
„Over the years, Rally Poland has proven that it is ‘Polish’ not only by name — its identity has always included various surfaces and locations. Since 1921, when the first edition ran from Warsaw to Białowieza, the rally has visited many regions of the country, hosting the world’s best drivers and the most prestigious championships — both World and European,” said Michał Sikora, President of the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (PZM).
In the 1960s and 1970s, Rally Poland was based in Cracow, then moved to Wroclaw for the next two decades. In the 21st century, it adopted routes in the Klodzko Valley, and since 2005, Mikolajki served as its base for 20 years.
„The gravel roads of Masuria wrote beautiful chapters of rally history. Now, we are turning a new page — with a new location and a return to asphalt, in a region that plays an important role on the Polish motorsport map,” Michał Sikora added.
The 82nd Rally Poland will be based in Silesia. The top rally crews from Poland and across Europe will compete on asphalt stages, many of which have been used in past editions of the Silesia Rally, held as part of the ERC, the European Rally Trophy, and the Polish Rally Championship (RSMP). The event will be co-organized by the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and the Automobilists’ Foundation — the long-time host of the Silesia Rally.
„The opportunity to organize Rally Poland in Silesia is a great honour and distinction for us, and we sincerely thank the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation. For over a decade, we have been building our experience — starting from regional rallies, through national events, up to last year’s highly acclaimed ERC round. Being entrusted with such a prestigious event is a major challenge, but together with engaged automobile clubs — both from Silesia and other regions of Poland — we are confident we can create an exceptional rally event and a spectacular motorsport show. Silesia has a rich rallying heritage and is home to many successful competitors. We have no doubt that it will be an excellent host for Rally Poland,” said Grzegorz Wróbel, President of the Automobilists’ Foundation.
The 82nd Rally Poland is one of eight rounds on the 2026 FIA European Rally Championship calendar. Five of them will take place on asphalt and three on gravel. The championship will kick off in Hungary in the second half of March, and conclude in Portugal on the second weekend of October. The continent’s best drivers will also compete in Spain, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom.
The asphalt stages of the 82nd Rally Poland will also count towards the Polish Rally Championship (RSMP).
Miko Marczyk, the reigning European Rally Champion, who feels great on Silesian asphalt will aim to defend his title in the 2026 season. The Polish driver, who began his rally career on Silesian stages, has won the Silesia Rally three times — including the 2025 edition.
