(18.11.2024) The FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) has approved the European Rally Championship (ERC) calendar for the 2025 season by electronic vote. Eight rounds in eight countries have been scheduled, including the Polish ERC counter.
Three out of eight events will run on gravel special stages, while the remaining five are tarmac rallies. 81st Rally Poland, organised by Polish Automotive and Motorcycle Federation, will conclude the loose surface part of the season as round four of the series held from the 13th to the 15th of June 2025.
In 2025 season Rally Poland will be part of the FIA ERC calendar for the 55th time, setting an unbeaten record in rally statistics. No other rally in the history of the series can boast such an exceptional achievement. The event made its ERC debut in 1960, seven years after the series was established. Since the 2005 season, Rally Poland has been hosted by the picturesque city of Mikolajki in the heart of the Masurian Lake District, where spectacular gravel stages are located. During these 19 years, Rally Poland has been a WRC round here six times and an ERC round thirteen times.
The 2025 FIA ERC season will kick off with a new tarmac challenge – the Sierra Morena Rally. Cordoba-based event will make its debut in the European championship. The event in Andalusia will be followed by the gravel part of the season, including events in Hungary, Sweden and Poland.
The second half of the season consists of tarmac rallies only. The first one is the Rally di Roma Capitale. Then, ERC competitors will visit the Czech Republic, where the Barum Czech Rally Zlin will be held. After a successful debut in 2024, JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion kept the spot in the FIA ERC calendar. The season showdown will take place in October during Rally Croatia.
All rounds count towards the European Rally Championship (FIA ERC) classification (drivers, co-drivers and teams). FIA ERC3 and FIA ERC4 crews are also eligible to score points in every round of the series, while FIA Junior ERC Championship drivers will fight for points in six events, excluding rounds in Sweden and Great Britain.
