Entries opened for PZM 76th Rally Poland

After tarmac battle in Rally Islas Canarias, now it is time to feel the gravel again in FIA European Rally Championship. Two oncoming ERC events – Rally Liepaja and PZM 76th Rally Poland – will be held on fast, loose surface roads. The organisers of Polish ERC counter have announced that entries are now opened. Both city of Mikolajki and spectacular Masurian special stages awaits FIA ERC competitors.

Last weekend of June (28-30) is the date saved for high-speed gravel action around Mikolajki, during Polish classic. This year, results of this event count towards classifications of four rallying series, which are FIA European Rally Championship, Polish Rally Championship, Lithuanian Rally Championship and Polish Rally Championship in Historic Rallies. Having spoken to many competitors during previous editions, the organisers focused their efforts on making the route more compact and more spectator-friendly at the same time.

There are 15 special stages in itinerary, with well-known Mikolajki Arena super special stage, where crews compete simultaneously in pairs. The total length of the PZM 76th Rally Poland is 654 km, including 202 kilometres of special stages. Supplementary regulations, as well as entry forms have been already published on www.rallypoland.pl.

Many top European crews are expected to enter Polish ERC counter, including Aleksey Lukyanuk and Aleksey Arnautov (reigning European champions, Citroen C3 R5), Lukasz Habaj and Daniel Dymurski (current leaders of FIA ERC standings, Skoda Fabia R5) and Chris Ingram with Ross Whittock (Skoda Fabia R5), who currently hold second position on the series leaderboard. Rally Poland is also a round of ERC3, ERC 2 and European junior championships as well as Abarth Rally Cup.

Closing date for entries is 13th of June. Entry list will be published on 18th of June.
