Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Subaru Impreza TMR) is the first leader of 68th Rally Poland, which kicked off on Friday afternoon, 23rd September. Just like in former editions of the event, the rivalry was started at the “Mikolajki” superspecial. All crews tackled the short test in pairs. Kajetanowcz has noted the follwing time: 1:50.2. Second overall was Grzegorz Grzyb (Peugeot 207 S2000) + 0,3 s. Third time scored Tomasz Kuchar (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X): + 0,4 s. The Wroclaw-based driver is classified only in the Platinum Polish Rally Championship.
All competitors agreed that the “Mikolajki” superspecial was just a fun for the spectators. Pure fight will start on Saturday morning, 24th September.
There are 44 crews at the start list. Unfortunately Luca Betti, a current leader of the European Rally Championship classification did not come Mikolajki.
On Saturday and Sunday all competitors will have to tackle 12 gravel stages. Despite the change of the event’s date, sunny weather is expected during the oncoming weekend.
